Join our buzzing community

Our purpose is to provide small enterprises with affordable managed office and workspaces in Leeds city centre

A short history

Back in the 1980’s there were very few buildings available for small business’ and start-ups to rent in Leeds city centre.

LCVS Enterprises was first formed when individuals for Leeds-based community and voluntary sector organisations and at least two members of Leeds City Council came together with a plan to establish a community workshops project in the heart of the city.

The immediate objective of that progressive group of people was to convert and refurbish two former industrial premises for use by new and smaller businesses. To give them a chance. A helping hand. An opportunity to create something worthwhile. It is a principle that abides today.

Our workshops

LCVS Enterprises provides affordable workspaces in a beautiful building, centrally located in Leeds.

We start our journey to our dreams by wanting, but we arrive by focusing, planning, and learning.
— Christina Wodtke

LCVS Enterprises bought the Dock Street building from Joshua Tetley Brewery in 1982 for the princely sum of £5!

The property can never be sold; it can only ever be gifted to an organisation with similar objectives to those of LCVS Enterprises.
