Adarak

Dan Waters runs Adarak, a provider of professional video production services specialising in work for universities and the public sector - including as a supplier to the University of Leeds, British Council, several local councils, and The National Archives. Adarak has a wealth of experience helping teams to develop their initial ideas into a fully-fledged concept for a film, and they always aim to provide as much guidance and support as possible, making the process straightforward and enjoyable.

Dan worked in the construction industry for ten years as a project manager, but after a career break spent travelling for 12 months, he returned to Leeds to start Adarak in 2019. The process of Adarak initially evolved through producing food & drink event videos, along with other promotional content. Adarak now focus their work on factual documentary-style videos for research case studies, testimonials and recruitment, working with a small team of production assistants, camera operators, editors and animators.

The company’s future plans are to continue to work with their selection of loyal customers, but they are always open to new opportunities for organisations looking to produce high quality video content. Adarak had been keen to move into one of LCVS Enterprises’ workshops since first visiting Aire Street Workshops in 2019. Once the business had grown beyond their previous premises, they got the opportunity to view a unit in Dock Street Workshops, and moved in September 2022. The space gives Adarak the opportunity to put better work together in their small team, as well as collaborating with other businesses in the building.
